2 Lent 2017: Nicodemus in the darkness

Here is my sermon from Sunday, based on John 3:1-17. Why did Nicodemus come to Jesus at night?  And how can he be a model for us?  That, and how color TV broadcasts came to be the norm.

Listen to it here:

(Sorry for the background noise at the beginning–my phone, which I use to record my sermons using “Just Press Record,” slid down under the Bible on the lectern and I had to fish it out.)

“What are you seeking?” 2nd after Epiphany, Yr A, Jan. 15, 2017

A sermon preached on January 15, 2017, the 2nd Sunday after the Epiphany, Yr A, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Pawtucket, RI.

The Gospel text for the day was John 1:29-42, which can be found here.

Here is the audio recording of the sermon.

(Note on methods: I set my iphone on the pulpit and recorded the sermon using the app JustPressRecord, which literally requires one button press to start and another to stop and that’s it.  Then uploaded the m4a file from iCloud drive.  Any paid WordPress account will accept audio media files. So easy!)
